I was looking at the USPS website to get details on mailing to Malawi. I thought you should know that I am prohibited by the USPS from mailing Aphrodisiacs. Just wanted to make sure you knew you couldn't receive anything falling in that category while you are in Malawi!! Additionally, I am prohibited from sending you "Correspondence concerning fraudulent enterprises or fortune telling".
I wonder if a letter would ever get to Malawi from China.
Let me recount an experience from the local post office when I was trying to send John Koon a postcard in Moldova:
Me: "I need this postcard to go to this country. I don't know how to say it in Chinese, but these are the characters."
Post Office Lady (to another postal worker): "How much does it cost to send a postcard to this country" [showing the characters to the other worker; i.e., she didn't know the name of it either]
Yes, even people that work at a POST OFFICE (in China) don't know where Moldova is. And I bet the same would be true for Malawi.
neal wasn't actually trying to send the postcard, i was. from china. but neal i guess get's credit since he asked for me. by the way, what is "leaving out". i did a lesson on prepositions tonight with my chinese adults, and that was not an expression we discussed...
